Automatic regulation of solar pool water heating
The microprocessor-controlled unit automatically obtains the greatest amount of heat from the sun for your pool until it reaches the desired temperature. It starts itself at dawn and checks whether it is already possible to maximize heat gains up to the set, desired pool water temperature. At the same time, it controls and prevents unwanted overheating. This means you don't have to worry about turning the pool water heating on and off during the bathing season and, possibly, filtration.
Fully automatic operation without the need for manual control. Start monitoring the heat output from the solar panels at daybreak. On hot days, it does not allow overheating of the water above the set value.
The unit is fully waterproof and can be exposed to rain and splashes. So you can leave it outside next to the pool technology without any worries. Degree of protection IP67.
Manual mode with full control over all system functions. You can thus start the pump, heating and possibly also filtration. Do you want to luxuriate in the pool? Just start the pump and you're good to go.
Timer in manual mode against forgetting. You set the time for which the unit should work in manual mode. When finished, it switches to automatic mode and waits for the next sunny day.
The light sensor in automatic mode takes care of triggering the regulation. It checks the current temperature of the water in the pool and from the solar panels and starts heating the water.
The internal clock is used to set the switching times when you do not want to use the light sensor. You can set the times and days when the pool should be heated. Typically only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Possibility of automatic evening filtration when the bypass is installed. You just set the time and SUNREG23 will then take care of turning on the filtration in the evening. And the pool will be ready for the next day in the morning.
Quick and easy setup. Operating and setting the SUNREG23 using three buttons is intuitive and simple even without the use of a manual. The up arrow sets the automatic mode, the down arrow sets the manual mode.
Connection of the water part with solar heating
In the basic connection, the control unit will monitor the water temperature and regulate the flow of water through
solar water panels. The system connects to the outlet between the pumps and the pool and acts as an open valve for normal circulation or filtration and a bypass system for the solar panel heating circuit. In most cases, when you heat the water in this way, it is enough to replace the manual valve with a motorized one.
For connection, it is possible to use 32mm or 38mm hoses, depending on which one you use for your pool, or connect the bypass to your existing system with a fixed installation.
The system contains two temperature sensors that detect the temperature of the water exiting the pool and the exit from the solar panel. The motorized valve then closes or opens the main water path as needed so that it receives as much heat as possible and at the same time ensures that the pool does not overheat on hot days.
Connection of the water part with solar heating and filtration
In addition to controlling the heating of the pool water, SUNREG23 can also switch on the filtration at the time set by you after the end of the day. You have this option and it's up to you whether you use it.
The system connects to the output of the pump and works as an open valve for normal circulation or closed for filtration.

Connection of the SUNREG23 control unit
The heart of the system is the control unit, to which you simply connect an external device such as a pump, temperature sensors, a heating bypass valve and possibly a filtration valve.
Setting up the control unit is easy and intuitive. You can either leave the mode fully automatic, or you can switch to manual mode and only switch the required functions. In order to be able to go to sleep with manual settings, there is a timer function that turns off everything after the set time and switches the system to automatic mode, thus preparing it for the next day.
The regulation of the pool water heating is operated by an automatic motorized valve, which the control unit opens and closes based on the temperature difference between the temperature of the water collector and the temperature of the pool water. When the temperature of the collector exceeds the temperature of the pool, the valve allows water to flow through the collectors, heating the water in the pool.
The regulation monitors the water temperature according to the temperature set by you, so in the peak of the summer season the temperature of the pool is regulated to prevent it from overheating. The existing pool pump is used to force water through the collectors on the roof, and since the system is closed and after the water fills the collectors and begins to return with the normal dynamics of gravity and associated pressure, the additional load factor of the pump is then negligible.
You can set the operating time of the circulation pump and pool heating by changing the value of the surrounding light, and this will not forget to start the heating system in the morning and at the same time the pump will only be in operation for the time it is heating the water. Thus, there are no additional costs for electricity. Simply put, there are no additional costs for heating the pool once the control is installed, making it a very smart and cost-effective investment.
