Mechanical Installation and Connections
Control Unit Installation
Although the control unit has an IP67 rating, it is better to place it where it will not be directly exposed to water or direct sunlight. If possible, install it vertically. You can use the mounting plate, which has holes for wall installation. This plate can be easily attached to the bottom of the control unit using snap-in pins.
Mechanical Installation of the Heating Motor Valve
If you already use manual heating switching, the installation is simple. Just disconnect the original valve and connect the motorized one. The motor head must be oriented upwards. If you are connecting the solar heating panel for the first time, disconnect the piping, insert the motorized valve with the branch fittings for the solar panel, and connect the piping to the panel as recommended by the manufacturer.
Mechanical Installation of the Filtration Motor Valve
The installation of the filtration valve is similar to the heating valve. No sensors are placed in this section. The filtration bypass allows easier water flow to the solar panels without passing through the filtration system, reducing pump load. It also enables automatic filtration activation.
Sensor Connection
First, identify the NTC sensors. We need to find the one measuring the pool water temperature. Switch the system to MAN mode by pressing the DOWN button. The LCD will show the POOL temperature. Then take one of the sensors and hold it in your hand. The displayed temperature should start rising almost immediately. If not, try the other sensor. This identifies the correct sensor, which should be inserted into the well located before the valve closer to the pool. We recommend marking this sensor.
